Hockey team rises indian hopes for a medal

India had a mixed day with archer Atanu Das and men's hockey team keeping the hopes alive. While, shooter Heena Sidhu  and rower Dattu Bhokanal disappointed.

Dattu Bhokanal kicked off the day by finishing fourth in the individual sculls quarterfinal as Heena having another shot for redemption failed to qualify for the finals in the 25m Pistol event.

However, later in the evening, Atanu Das and the men's hockey team gave some reasons to cheer. The Indian archer was in brilliant form to get through his two elimination rounds and reach the pre-quarters. In hockey, India played spiritedly and survived a scare to beat Argentina 2-1.
